diddykonga Posted May 30, 2016 Report Posted May 30, 2016 Hi there, so i noticed when changing/editing a Sprite inside an animation, that you can change the Sprite's Alpha. Why is it that you cant change the whole Color of a Sprite, or in other words give the Sprite a custom Tint. If this is something the team has looked into, or has already decided on not supporting, I would like to hear your thoughts on this idea, Thank you! Quote
Garvinator Posted June 16, 2016 Report Posted June 16, 2016 You could just use an image editor to add a tint to a spritesheet. Quote
Felipe Cartin Posted June 22, 2016 Report Posted June 22, 2016 Hi guys, Sorry to bump this up, but I think this would be a great addition. Adding flashes to animations to spice them up is really a must for some of the GFX i want to make for my characters. Is there a way to do this currently? Thanks! Quote
Mike at BrashMonkey Posted June 22, 2016 Report Posted June 22, 2016 The only trick you could do right now is have an alternate image to use as a overlay over every image you want to tint,, same exact shape, all one color (the tinting color), then assign both images to the same bone so they always stay perfectly aligned and then control the opacity of the overlay tint image. An actual tinging option will likely not show up until Spriter 2, which is in very early development. Quote
Felipe Cartin Posted June 23, 2016 Report Posted June 23, 2016 Hi Brash, That's a bummer. Problem with that is that Im trying to make a character (that is customizable and uses character maps) flash for a specific period of time when doing a certain animation, so this solution doesnt really work. Thanks anyways. Quote
Mike at BrashMonkey Posted June 23, 2016 Report Posted June 23, 2016 There may be a solution on the game-engine side. Which language or authoring system are you using? Quote
loudo Posted June 23, 2016 Report Posted June 23, 2016 I may add something like this in my engine soon. It will allow to add a custom shader to a whole character first. Then I may allow to target some childs of the character. Quote
