This feature is not yet officially supported by Spriter. It's a planned feature, but has been delayed while Edgar continues to work on the fully featured reference implementation (http://brashmonkey.com/forum/index.php?/topic/4029-reference-implementation-status-update-7172015/), which is top priority.

There IS a hidden, not officially test version of an image deforming feature, which users like bwwd (http://brashmonkey.com/forum/index.php?/topic/3084-my-animated-sprites/) have done stunning work with, BUT there are known bugs, and the feature will likely never be supported by any Spriter implementations for specific authoring systems... so if you want to use it, be sure to know, bugs wont be fixed for this current version of the feature, because it will be completely replaced. So ONLY USE the current, test version of this feature if you acknowledge that bugs for it wont be supported, and if you only plan to export your animations as full frame images or sprite-sheets.

If you still want to make use of the current, test/place-holder version, then this video will explain the basics: https://youtu.be/V0ehOfGP5XY?t=6m22s

REMEMBER: Only use this feature if you don't mind bugs that wont be fixed and if you understand eventually this feature might cease to exist in a future update of Spriter, once its replaced with the real version, which likely wont be at all compatible. Meaning at that point, to continue working on files with this place-holder version of the feature , you'll have to keep a previous build of Spriter installed. And, again, this feature is only currently useful for creating and exporting full framed images or sprite sheets... no Spriter playback implementation will likely ever support this placeholder version of the feature.

Cheers.

I think anime studio uses somekind of deformation feature and as you know spriter does not officially support Deformation (skin) yet.

IMHO, In spriter you can do a workaround using various parts (images) on the bending elbow and painting over with transparency but the result wont be as perfect as with deformation. Well that is the way I would do it.

Cheers.
