Welcome superguiz,

It is very hard to understand your question...

Can you show an example of what you do want?

Do you want standard, side-view, fighting game animations, like from Street Fighter, King of Fighters, etc?

Are you saying you need the animations in some kind of isometric perspective and NOT perfectly side view?

Please attach or link to images, animated gifs, or YouTube videos to help us understand what you're after.

Cheers,
Mike

Its possible to do without having to rotate character:

Some attacks look better with rotation:

If you want sideview only then you still can do it but i actually never seen attack aniumations in game from sideview only like this:

I only use sideview for walking, maybe running sometimes.

Thanks bwwd for the awesome examples of whats possible with just the set of side-view images.

@ superguiz, I suggest you start by watching all our quicktip tutorials: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL8Vej0NhCcI5sxOT64-Z31LW59VUyAVfr

Also, if you purchased Spriter Pro, you get the Essentials versions of all our art packs, which are great to start with or study to learn how to animate.

If you've not purchased Spriter Pro, there's still this example Spriter project that anyone can start off with: http://www.brashmonkey.com/temp/GreyGuy.zip

Aside from the quick-tip tutorials, there are the full tutorials here:

Here, specifically is a tutorial for making a walking animation:

I've not made any tutorials specifically for attack animations, but the Essentials Packs have some attack animations you could look at and learn from.

cheers.
