nicmar Posted October 8, 2014 Report Posted October 8, 2014 Hi! Is it possible to lock the bone hierarchy for all frames? I'm a noob, but I find it confusing that if I'm on the wrong frame and decide to rearrange bones, it's only for this frame. Also it doesn't seem like it copies the hierarchy of bones when I copy and paste between frames. So I need to restart everything every time I want to change bones. Is it usual that you want to change the hierarchy during an animation? Thanks! :) Traceycof 1 Quote
Mike at BrashMonkey Posted October 10, 2014 Report Posted October 10, 2014 Hi nicmar, Good idea, it would be convenient to be able to either lock them, or at least copy a specific hierarchy across all frames, BUT hierarchy being per frame is by design because of the very cool stuff you can do by changing the skeletal system to whatever you'd like per frame. This video explains more: cheers, Mike at BrashMonkey Quote
nicmar Posted October 10, 2014 Author Report Posted October 10, 2014 Ah I see, cool. I was expecting a transformation to an airplane, but the gun was pretty cool too :) Yes, locking and copying would probably speed up the workflow a bit, but it's not critical. Thanks for the response! Quote
Kiori Posted November 7, 2014 Report Posted November 7, 2014 Perhaps a better solution is if you could tag things. Like hierarchy with gun- 1, hierarchy empty -2, something else -3. So you could clik-switch them on the go, or even use hot keys. Quote
