    SpriterDotNet.Unity

Hi, As you already figured out you can pause and resume by setting the Speed property. For the end of the animation - Animator.cs exposes the AnimationFinished event which you can subscribe to. As for jumping to specific keys - what's the use case for that? Could you achieve the same effect by splitting the animation into several smaller ones and then just switch animations instead of jumping to different keys?
  6. This is my mistake. It looks like Link all the assemblies are set in the link option.
  7. Hi Sorry English is short. Thanks, that worked. Originally I launched from the steam desktop which didn't transfer the login details.

    purchase from steam

If you make sure you are logged into your steam account in your browser and that steam account is t he one that owns Spriter, then the link should work. Please make sure you are logged into your steam account in that browser before trying the link and let us know if you still have any issues.

    purchase from steam

Hi I bought Spriter well before August on Steam but the link to the Spriter 2 beta on steam doesn't work. Is there an alternative method? Thanks

[Private Alpha] Those who purchased from the Scirra Store.

The version is approved now @Chadori_RebornXD . If I remember correctly, subsequent versions might not require the lengthy approval process.

    Bug report updates Spriter 2.

New version 1/7/2019 The Bug report dialog is almost invisible. At the first approach I couldn't find it at once. Make it more visible.

    RPG_Heroes_Pack_Essentials palette issues?

No, the Essentials version would be fine. so long as you have Spriter Pro. Only Spriter Pro let's you make character maps.

    RPG_Heroes_Pack_Essentials palette issues?

Hmm, I tried that but maybe I need the full version to do this? I'm using the one that came with Spriter Pro. Edit: Never mind, I wasn't doing it right! I was trying to replace it under the 'torso' part and that wasn't right apparently.

    RPG_Heroes_Pack_Essentials palette issues?

Copy whatever body part images are closes to the new version you want to add, and rename the copies to whatever you want. Carefully paint over each body part image, leaving the palette and the image dimensions totally intact. Then create a new character map which swaps the default body part that you're replacing with the equivalent image of the new body part images you made. That's it.

    RPG_Heroes_Pack_Essentials palette issues?

Thanks Mike. I'll look into that since I'm fairly proficient in GIMP and not Pro Motion. I also couldn't find anything out there as to add more custom assets to the heroes_pack char map. Is that possible and if so have you made a tutorial for that? Thanks again!

    RPG_Heroes_Pack_Essentials palette issues?

Gimp is not a program specializing in pixel art and indexed color modes, so when it saves its rearanging the palette and likely removing unused colors etc to make the resulting PNG smaller. You might be able to find a setting in Gimp's options to have it "not reduce color depth" of PNG images while saving, but if not, you'll need to use a program specializing in editing pixel art, like Pro Motion NG etc.

Manipulate image(s) in CharMap > update portrait

It would help to use a graphics program specializing in indexed graphics modes (pixel art) as opposed to programs more dedicated to high res full color photo manipulation etc. It's ideal to use a graphics program that keeps the color palette intact when loading and saving it. I personally use Pro Motion NG, but any pixel art creation software should work the way you need with the least hassle.

    Spriter Free Mac

No, each is an older version. R9 seems to be the most recent. you should only need that.
  23. Thanks Is there an easy way to do that? Am I going about this the wrong way? What I'm trying to accomplish is this; I want to modify this character to meet my needs and take advantage of all the work that has been put into pack 128 regarding animations, pivot points, etc. If I can just modify some of the sprites to my liking and then use the animations and file structure, it would obviously save me lots of time. I added a screenshot below in the GIMP including the pallet editor and colormap; I was just trying to figure out a way to match the index. My method has been to use the color picker to choose a color already used and paint with it only in an effort to preserve the color index . I plan to use the sprites already made in this pack with slight modifications every now and again. Is this something that is acceptable and has been done before? I am early on in this project so I could just make my own sprites if I need to. Also, I suppose I could make use of the many modifications already built in in the way of changing colors and such and just come to terms with the minor issues I have with some sprites; I'll start experimenting with this in the meantime. Sorry for the long reply, Danny Another thing I want to do is add legs to the portrait - with animation.

    Spriter Free Mac

Hi, do I need to download all 4 files to install and run this?
  25. Not sure why but if I try to edit the base parts of this art pack the color palette no longer applies correctly to that part. I'm using GIMP and I'm not editing the colors. As soon as I copy over it (PNG) only certain colors of the asset change. I'll include a screenshot of what I am experiencing. All I did here was open the 'chest_front_0' of the 48x48 male, changed nothing and saved over it. I'm even using the same indexed color that the file loads with. The one in the image is: fcdc9a. For some reason this color doesn't act right. Thoughts?

Manipulate image(s) in CharMap > update portrait

It's not simply enough to get the images back into indexed color mode... it must have the color indexes in the same exact order as the unedited originals for the palette changing features to work properly with it.
  27. Thanks so much Mike, You understood me exactly. I updated the portrait. Updating the portrait (and the smaller png) with paint.net yielded good visual results in Spriter Pro but I was concerned whether the png was "indexed" as mentioned on page 28 of the manual under "Using Spriter's Custom Color Features" so I made the changes again in GIMP but the visual results showed obvious artifacts so I made the changes again with paint.net but opened the png afterwards in gimp and converted it to "indexed mode" (Image>Mode>indexed). This yielded good visual results. I have added the modified portrait for you to see here. Question. What are the chances I will run into trouble later if I'm not careful about indexed color mode? Is it just a matter of memory used or a matter of whether the program will run on all platforms? Please don't put a lot of time into your answer as I can do that myself; I only ask in case you know the answer off the top of your head. Thanks so much!

Yes, I'd been discussing it with Edgar. I'm glad he was able to resolve the issue. Best of luck with your projects. cheers.

Using Spriter animations in Construct 2

Hi @Mike at BrashMonkey, Thanks for replying - I understand things have been hectic with putting out Spriter 2. I'm afraid that after some time with no reply on this forum, I posted this issue on the Scirra Spriter-plugin topic, where it was resolved by @lucid. I believe the current version of the plugin already contains the fixes in question. Thanks again, and good luck with Spriter 2 - I look forward to seeing it in action.
