Cerebrophage Posted January 5 Report Posted January 5 Greetings all! So I'm new to the program, just bought it as my friends and I are making a game for ourselves, a 2D Fighting game. I have a character I am working on who ... well, he's made of shadow, but he has an aura of white light around him. Here is an original animation of him before spriter when we were doing flipbook style animation: My question is, using Spriter, I'm worried about importing individual parts with outlines all around and all the various moves he will do that might make him look segmented with lots of white division lines between each piece. So, my question is, is there a way to add a white outline on an all black character? Quote
Mike at BrashMonkey Posted February 17 Report Posted February 17 Unfortunately it seems your image attachment failed. If your white light is made with opaque pixels it should work, otherwise where semitransparent lines would overlap from different body-parts, this or course would make areas more and more opaque, so it would not look great. It's possible, depending on the game authoring system or language you are using, that you could apply a shader in the game endine to create the white glow uniformly around the entire character. (so you would leave it out of the body part images.) Quote
