MrRagePants
I use unity3d, and i am wondering if i could make my cutscene using spriter? If yes, would it be a resource hog? Thank you.
Mike at BrashMonkey
Hi MrRagePants, I'd definitely break it into several animations (like scenes in a movie) so they would be easier to manage and edit etc, as 2 minutes is indeed a long time. Of course using Spriter instead of full frame image animations would be much more optimized, and crystal clear (compared to using a video), and have a frame rate limited only by the platform that's playing the animations, BUT a video might take less memory or file-space, depending on a lot of factors... Basically, there are too many specific factors, depending on the resolution and number of unique images, amount of sound files and their size etc etc. cheers,. MrRagePants
Thank you for the response. And I'm sorry for my late reply, been very busy lately. I took your opinion of making a video instead, but unfortunately the free version of Unity does not allow that. I am looking for another alternative.
