How to recover images if you change the folder structure?

after getting my new character laid out and animating an idle, walking and jumping state, i decided to make future motions easier by restructuring the png files in to folders inside of the root folder, modeling it after what i saw in the file palette in your videos. (example, heads are now inside a "heads" folder and sames for legs, arms and so on) I left spriter open while i was moving the images and likewise saw them move into the folders in the file palette. After moving the files into folders i then animated a neat 3 hit combo that i am rather proud of, and so i saved and closed out the program. The following day opened it to see that my idle and jumping animations were only showing the bones with none of the png images. The walking and attacking animations had some but not all of the images, but even some of the ones that where there were not responding to their parent bone, causing some semi frantic motions. I was trying to adjust it to fix it, but it would move a different image that had no relation to the bone and/or png i was trying to move. I am wondering / hoping / praying to the brash monkey gods that there is a way to recover the images in to my animations as i invested a good amount of time and would hate to have to start all over. Please help
