crazysam
Check out Spine on Kickstarter. The editor seems to be further along than Spriter, although there is still no API to integrate animations into a game, or file format specification. Time to kick it into high gear Spriter devs, the war for the best mobile animation toolset has begun :-P
Tap
I actually prefer Spriter's interface for the most part. Of course, we have to wait and see how the bone tools work in Spriter. I think Spriter's API is much better (because Spine's API is almost non-existent), which is why I probably will not use Spine. I like Spine's price point, and I want it to be successful, but I do not want it bad enough to throw money at it right now, because I already invested in Spriter. Basically, if Spine showed up sooner than Spriter, I probably would have taken to it, but I am happy with Spriter so far.
lodger
excuse me, but this is kind of uncouth....bordering on childish. Spriter is an excellent tool, Spine might be as well. The time and energy of dev's is best spent working on the software, listening to people's feedback rather than diverting it into some silly rivalry. I mean no offence here, but I think we have better things to do/collaborate on.
