  1. This was my idea years earlier. And there is one problem with that. The Spine Licence. The Spine-API in GameMaker allows you only to use the API if you have bought Spine. I bought Spine and Spriter. But I think, it's much faster to re-animate any Spriter-Animation in Spine, instead of creating a converter. The next big problem are the bones or no bones. And such a converter will also only work for simpler animations. You have to create slots and bone from nothing if you want to be able to load a unboned Spriter-file into the right json-data structure. But, I would be very glad, if you do so. Maybe you could open a GameMaker forum thread and give access to a prototype.
  2. Since there is a great Spine implemantation in GM:S, it would be usefull to be able to save Spriter-XML into Spine-JSON, or having a converter. Problem here are the bones. Having a Spriter animation without bones would end up in a to many-bones-conversion or you have to make sure, that there are bones, but what is with the slots? And so on.
  3. Anyone tried Game Maker Studio 1.3 Early Access with JSON support? I am not getting the 8.1 SpriterAPI for game maker to work, not realy understand all, so it's not as easy for me to translate it to GameMaker Studio :-(
  4. Maybe this one ... http://gmc.yoyogames.com/index.php?showtopic=537492
  5. I think the easiest way would be a converter from Spriter XML to Spine JSON. I love both products, and also bought both. I tested Spriter with Construct 2, and it worked, but for complex project, I more like the way game maker is handling the files. I also don't know if any official XML support is there for Game Maker Studio without DLLs. I am also thinking of replacing the GameMaker-Room-Editor for the Levels with the use of Spriter, Spine or Rube (iforce2D) (https://www.iforce2d.net/rube/) Would be great to be able to use alle three programs without complicate thinking in Game Maker Studio.
  6. Do you have a Link into Game Maker Forum for your project? There are a JSON Spine Project, seams to work fine. http://gmc.yoyogames.com/index.php?showtopic=595125 Maybe it's possible to convert Spine/Spriter into eachother.

    B4 Bug Thread

    - Custom Background-Color: if I had a color selected, maybe green, and than pressing again on custom background color, but pressing "CANCEL", the background has to be like before, maybe green, but it turns into black a feauture would be also when the custom-background-color-button acts like the white-background, gray-background and black-background, and the color-selector only appears if I had pressed the custom-color-selector, and when I press it after white, gray, or black, that my color, I chosed before will come. - No sprites seen. When I zoom out, so that there is no scroll-bar shown on the right or down, only the sprite in the last layer is shown. In my case my last layer is blue square 1000 px x 1000 px, also the sprites with a width of 1000 px are shown, the have a height of 106 px. But sprites smaller 1000 px in width or height are not seen - the preview window on the right in the File Palette shows images in full size without scaling, so when I have a 1000 px x 1000 px image, the preview window is over the edges of my monitor's view, so I don't see the [OK] or [CANCEL] button
  8. After testing Spine with JSON integration in Game Maker, I believe, simplest way to get Spriter SCML in any engine or language is, to convert the Spriter SCML in a Spine JSON fromat. They have already Haxe.
  9. So, to get my game done, I bought Spine. I also bought Spriter, but Spriter is still Beta and I cannot use it in Game Maker Studio easily. So I thought about programming a converter from SCML to JSON with the Spine-Format. But I think, that is not, what the Vision of Spriter SCML was over a year ago. So what is the problem? How was it possible, that Spine grows faster than Spriter, both had nearly the same amount of money, and Spriter Developer had nearly 9 month more time for programming. I belived in you, but now I feel very lonely.
  10. I hope there will come a Game Maker Studio implementation with the "new" SCML-Format. And an easy work arround. Thanks.
