Upgrade from 'r5' to 'r10' produces missing .dll error

After updating Spriter to 'r10' receive the following system error.

Per the instructions contained in the dialog, reinstalling the program does not resolve the issue.  I have moved back to 'r5' of the program in order to continue its use.

My assumption is that there is a missing Visual Studio Distributable required for this version to work, but I don't want to install the entire gambit of VS distributions to find out which one will make the software operable.

I am running Windows 10 x64 Anniversary Edition 1607 with all of the most up to date fixes applied.

Anyone with a solution, please advise. Thanx.:?

For the vast majority of people who do not have these required DLL files preinstalled, the following fixes the issue:

please install the Visual Studio 2013 C++ runtime. If you are on 32 bit Windows you only need the 32 bit version (_x86). If you are on 64 bit Windows, you will need to install both the 32 bit and 64 bit versions. IMPORTANT: If you try to install Visual Studio 2013 and the installer says you already have a newer version, then you need to uninstall the newer version so that 2013 can successfully install. Windows update will later install the latest version, but you'll keep the DLL Files Spriter needed. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40784

There are a few people who still had a missing DLL after this, and it turns out that one can be attained from installing VS 2010.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

cheers.
