yanzco Posted March 10, 2016 Report Share Posted March 10, 2016 hello, Spriter is really nice and great software .. i want to buy it, but currently not usre if it is useable in my current project. i want to ask anyone who have tried it for a topdown style animation? see attached image... if possible, how would i proceed to do it, tutorials? or some guide.. You might need to use image-swapping for the legs as opposed to just stretching the bones. You can download the free version which has all the features you'd need to learn the workflow. https://brashmonkey.com/download_spriter/ There is a built in manual (help/help in Spriter's menu) Also, you can watch the series of quick-tip tutorials here: I've not made any tutorials specifically for overhead. adamcreator Posted March 13, 2016 Report Share Posted March 13, 2016 No reason you can't use Spriter for this. It's all about Z order. Even if the bones would seem more cluttered because of the perspective, you would get more savvy with it as you get used to working with it.
