spinnernicholas
I am a very skilled .net/Unity3d programmer, but there is little motivation to write Spriter plug-ins if the file format isn't documented and changes arbitrarily rendering half my code useless. All the .scml documentation is horribly outdated. What we really need is a schema file like a .xsd file to define the xml structure. With such a .xsd file, Serializable C# classes could be automatically generated in visual studio. And then those classes could be used to create custom plug-ins for any platform that uses C#, like Unity. Anyways, with enough developer/community support, I will write a custom importer for Unity3d that will automatically generate and update all of the required objects for a spriter .scml file. You can drop your spriter project folder with .scml into your assets and it will automatically generate everything. If you change the .scml, it will regenerate so you don't have to do any work. Does this sound awesome? Yes, of course. This is what the community needs to seriously push the limits of Spriter. All I need to make this a reality is support from the community and some help from the developer to write the .xsd file. Feel free to contact me directly at spinnernicholas@gmail.com with "Spriter - " at the beginning of the subject.
Trumgottist
Hi! You are aware of the existing plug in for Unity, right? (If you look at that thread, be sure to read until the end. The beginning is a bit outdated.)
