uniform background size

LOVE this program! Was wondering, however, if there is a way to have uniform background sizes. swapping out pieces of a body, for example, a piece of armor, but it seems trickier because the arm animations are sitting on, say 156 x 178 pixel pic and the chest animations are on, say 359 x 248 pixel pic. Any thoughts? Thank you for any help and advice.

Sorry Ksottam,

I can't quite figure out what you mean. Images for arms don't need to have the same image size as images for the rest of the body.

Are you asking how to make it easiest to use the Character Maps feature? In that case, its easiest but not critical if the alternate images are the same image size as the images they are replacing... The only critical thing is to have the alternate images designed properly and have their default pivot points set properly so that they "fit" correctly when replacing the original images.

Please explain in very good detail what exactly you're trying to do and I'm sure we can help.

Hi Mike,

Thank you for the quick reply. I think we found a solution for our problem. By we I mean the other guy who plugs everything in. Lol I've tried 4 times now to try and explain what was explained to me in this post, and I realize that I simply don't know how to get across what was explained to me. To sum up, we were used to working one way and had to change that when I started using Spriter. Got it sorted out and everything works just fine. Again, just want to say thanks again for a program that makes my life SOOOOOOO much easier and also for taking the time to reply to this. Cheers.

No problem Ksottam,

I'm glad you got the problem sorted out. Make sure you've watched all the tutorial videos to make sure you're not missing out on key workflow concepts. More will come later.

Also, The as of yet unfinished manual is now built into the latest build of Spriter (b4) which you can access via "help" in the menu.

cheers,
