Sonjool
Hi I'm not sure if I'm the only one having this problem but right now I'm working on animations for a game project. So far I have 5 different animations (walk, run, idle, falling, landing) but it's starting to chug a bit. Whenever I select a bone or an object, it delays for about 3~5 seconds before letting me manipulate it. When I actually do manipulate it, it doesn't lag or chug though. I'm working with pretty small sprites (head is 7x13 and body is 15x19), so if seems like it's abnormal to chug at this size. I have head, upper/lower torso, upper/lower arms, hands, upper/lower legs and feet for the bones. My pc's specs are AMD PhenomII X6 1045T 2.70ghz 8gb Ram AMD HD 7700 series gpu Am I alone in my troubles or is anybody experiencing the lag/chugginess? Mike at BrashMonkey
Hi Sonjool, Yes, the performance when there are multiple animations, especially with bones is a known issue, which is a big part of the delay for this next build release...as Edgar has taken the necessary time to overhaul the engine and drastically improve performance. For now I recommend splitting your project into seperate projects, each with only a couple of animations... once Spriter 1.0 is ready, it will be able to merge multiple projects into one project. cheers, Mike at BrashMonkey
