  1. EDIT: this post used to be about how I couldnt get the script to work, found out it was because my JSON folder was empty. Maybe it'd be useful if it was somewhere clarified that you NEED to do this, maybe in that readme file ? Now, I want to ask two things. 1-my scml is coming out really weird, parts are exploded all over the place...is it because of incorrect positioning of the "bone" image? I have a few overlapping joints unlike the sample image so that could be a factor. 2-does anybody know a way to export vectors straight from illustrator? this would be very helpful for me. thank you guys for such an awesome script
  2. Aight so I'm an animator that is used to working frame by frame in pixelart but for convenience in this project I'm learning this mode of animation. I started rigging today and I'm frustrated with the rigging process...I have very silly problems and it's embarassing  heh. 1- can I put a bone outside of the graphic it's modifying without amplifying the radius with which the graphic will be rotated? I am trying to animate long girly hair, but I dont want to put it's bones inside the hair because they would often overlap the spine bones and it could get messy. But when I try to put the bones outside any rotation I do is increased a lot so it rotates right out of the girl's head =/ 2- why does stretching a bone make the graphic shoot out and deform in trippy ways? when I stretch or squatch a graphic on it's own it stretches fine, but when I do it trough it's parent bone it gets displaced and deformed way out, what did I do wrong? 3- I think I'm doing it the hard way exporting my assets from illustrator to photoshop and finally using the default "layers to files" photoshop script to make a folder full of (unsorted) images. I tried using psd2scml viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1412&hilit=psd2scml&start=40 and I got a strange error (I tried to make a reply in that topic but it hasnt appeared, should I assumed it was deemed spammy by a moderator?) it would be ideal for me to export from illustrator to folders ready for spriter use. PS: I had a little scare because the program crashed before I could save a big chunk of progress but I was glad to find the program does auto versioning =) one reason I'm gald I'm using spriter already
  3. Aight so I'm animator that is used to working frame to frame in pixelart but for convenience in this project I'm learning this mode of animation. I started rigging today and I'm basically frustarted and in denial that I have to do this...I have very silly problems and it's embarassing  heh. 1- can I put a bone outside of the graphic it's modifying without amplifying the radius with which the graphic will be rotated? I am trying to animate long hair but I dont want to put it right on top of hair because the bone would often overlap the spine and it'd be inconvenient, so I try to move the bones to a side but when I do that the rotation is increased a lot and it rotates right out of the girl's head =/ 2- why does stretching a bone make the graphic shoot out and deform in trippy ways? when I stretch or squatch a graphic on it's own it stretches fine, but when I do it trough it's parent bone it gets displaced and deformed way out, what did I do wrong? 3-the program just crashed and I hadnt saved =/ yipee
  4. ok so as you guys might guess I'm just starting to use spriter and I ran into this awesome sounding script. I have one problem though, photoshop wont run it =( the error is error60: Not well formed (invalid token) Line 461 -> class"p">{ Also, I'm only really using photoshop because it's the best way I know to export layers from illustrator =/ if anyone knows an equivalent of this script for illustrator or can point me to an easier way to export from illustrator I'd be very thankful
