thanks mike.....since i want this for animated gifs instead of code maybe the following can be a workaround if I am willing to sacrifice transparency? using a sprite thats the same color as the bg and adjusting z-order and simple transforms on it to change the visibility of the sprite underneath? Still a lot of work I know but maybe not so much for simple images?

Hi, I'm new to Spriter so this may may be a really silly question but I'm wondering if it's possible to "grow" a sprite without changing the size of the sprite. By grow I mean make more of the sprite visible as the timeline moves on. I know fade ins are possible from reading a part of the forum just now so I may experiment with that but that would mean just one part of the sprite appearing or disappearing right? Can a simple effect like a spiral slowly drawing itself onscreen be possible in Spriter?
