  1. Nope, that didn't work. trust me I tried virtually everything until it got to the point where I had to print the screen for every frame, save each as a png and then load them in as visual reference. Cut and paste should work, but it doesn't. I desperately want to love Spriter as I am moving into vector animations for my games, but it doesn't make things easy. It's not intuitive and all the things that exist in the professional 2D pixel software could just as easily exist in Spriter and enable game graphic development to be so swift and second-nature.
  2. I've got an eight frame walk that I'm reasonably happy with, but the issue is this.... I built the character side-on and only put in the near leg...(it's a mech-walker.) After a lot of trial and error I think the animation looks ok. So the animation is 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 For the animation to look correct the frames are matched like this 1&5, 2&6, 3&7, 4&8 repeat now all I want to do is copy the legs from frame 1 and then paste the duplicate into frame 5, then those from frame 2 into frame 6 and so on. In this way the character will then have both legs animating correctly. How is this possible in spriter? I have saved off projects with just the leg going through the eight frames and then attempted to import it, that didn't work. I am tearing what's left of my hair out. After many years of using 2D packages for game animation there's no real reason why Spriter can't emulate their functions....or am I asking too much?
  3. First attempt at a walk cycle. After working in games for 30 years I've tried many animation tools; Spriter has the potential to be really cool but does need some tweaks. But enough of that. After a lot of trial and error I got to a stage where I'm moderately content for a first draft. It needs a lot more work tomorrow, but at least I feel as if I have made some progress.
