PSI
Should range attack animations--fireballs, lasers, etc be incorporated into the character animations or should they be separate and why? It seems that Spriter makes it easy to do this but I'm wondering if I might run into problems because I didn't separate the animations, down the road. Mike at BrashMonkey
I would tend to animate the seperately so they can be swapped out (for other missiles or poeered up versions) and otherwise coltrolled by the game engine...like detecting envoironment and changing to an impact animation etc. that's my two cents anyway. cheers, Mike at BrashMonkey

lucid
also, PSI, I'll point out this is a perfect instance to use action points to specify the origin point and angle of the separate projectiles.
