Poor performance with SpriterMC?

On their website, the demo goes up to 300 sprites with no problem:

If you right click and disable Hardware Acceleration, it only goes up to about 50, which is understandable.

However on Devices and Starling/Flashbuilder, mine only goes up to about 50, both with using my own code and theirs.

No matter what I do, I can't seem to match the 300 sprite benchmark, it's always at 50.

I've tried using baseline_exented, baseline_constrained (what the benchmark shows), swf-version 17, 21, acceleration on, off, etc.

Does anyone have any insight on how to match the benchmark? Or perhaps if there's any way to contact the developers? (without pestering them through email)
