Hello everyone we are a new studio that is creating a new 2d game for mobile devices and personal computers.

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/171021835/dark-dawn

a small glimpse of the story of Dark Dawn

One of the few intelligent survivors of a war-torn Earth, Korak witnessed the return of mankind from the skies: humans who had taken refuge at a space station, returned to re-populate their planet. But instead of aid, he found himself cast away, thrown to the slums with the other survivors, the mutants. Now, enemy to both sides, he sets off on a journey to harness a hidden power within...

In Dark Dawn you control Korak and you are going to face endless hordes of enemies with unique abilities.

Dark Dawn uses a unique mechanic that controls day and night. By nightfall, the mutants grow more aggressive and stronger while the chances to find power-ups and ammo are significantly lower than the day, though available in larger amounts. Also during the night, there are more chances that you will face unique mutants who don't like the day light.

a small info about us...we are a group of friends passionate with games of every kind, video games board games etc, so we started creating our own games.

We at the new studio Genius Dog started creating our video game Dark Dawn which is a post apocalyptic action survival game.Few friends created their own board game http://www.ascendance.gr/, and they are working to expand their universe of Ascendance in a pen and paper game.In the process we noticed Dark Dawn will fit perfectly in the universe of Ascendance. So we tweaked the storyline to fit the universe now that is still early. and became part of a much bigger story line with endless possibilities.

we decided to use spriter to create our game so here we are :) and we can't wait for the version 1.

Or project is already a week on Kickstarter and it will be until 20th of April. please check it and share it!

thanks for your good words.

we uploaded today a small video with few new animations for our game hero,

sadly we decided to do our game with Spriter after the kickstarter campaign was over, so as you can guess we are working with the alpha version for now and we literally can't wait for the final version.

pretty nice animation work! :)

The walk cycle clip can do with some movement in the centre of mass. When we walk, our hip and torso move up and down - that gives the character weight.

Although you might be keeping that clear of keyframes because of the actor script driving the sprite

on the dead animation when he falls down backwards you can relax his arms as he lies on the ground- that will show more that his body is no longer driven by the muscles.

game looks awesome.
