  1. Well I'll be... That actually works. I didn't think of doing that. Weird huh? Thanks. =)
  2. Hi there. I am currently using Spriter Pro, and am delving into the experimental skins setting. However, whenever I double click on a particular image of my character to enter skin mode, the image immediately disappears. Sure, the arrows appear, but the image itself is invisible. Also, when I return to normal, the image is still invisible. My character's parts are saved as png files. Does that make any difference?
  3. Lol no it's fine. I need it to get better. OK I'll tweak them a bit. Especially since the kick animation is actually supposed to be an angry stomp haha Update: It seems that because I have the free version, I can't anchor with IK (unless I am mistaken, which is likely haha) But I will keep messing around to improve. Don't worry about being too critical! This is my first time ever doing this stuff so all the criticism is needed =) As long as it's more than "Ayy your sprite sucks lmao" I'm good. Cheers!
  4. Here are some more that I did a few days ago. The third one is my attempt at a better idle animation. Of course, I am still in the rough stages and any feedback is most appreciated. I am loving this program btw. I plan on getting Pro once I save the dinero.
  5. Thanks guys. I will take your suggestions and implement them tonight after work. Also, I made a couple more yesterday that I plan to upload once I get internet access at home again in a few days.
  6. Just a rough draft of an idle animation of a dude. It's for a platformer I am making using GameMaker. I hope I didn't make him too huge haha! Not much, but I'm proud lol xD
  7. Not my topic, but I am currently trying to do the same thing antix was (or I think so): Take my large animation and shrink it down to a smaller size...hoping it would still be just as detailed and clear. I read your post here and it makes sense now that I'd need to polish the resized image after shrinking it. At first I thought I was doing something wrong lol. Thanks for the help.
  8. Cool. Yes, I meant like if I made a Spriter animation and drew everything 4x the final size, then scaled it down after animating. I remember you mentioning the program you prefer for batch processing though I can't remember the name at the moment. Ah well, I'll just watch the video again lol. Thanks
  9. That's pretty neat. Does it keep the quality too?
  10. I love the art style on this one. Did you draw that too?
  11. Not gonna lie...yeah it is.Edit: I am starting to think the problem is me, not the program. I forgot the effect rotation has on pixels, and rewatcted the Intro to Spriter video. Sorry to waste your time. I hope to make good and crisp animations in the future, as soon as I get more educated with Spriter. BTW when does Pro ever go on sale? It sounds very useful.
  12. Yes, pixel art mode was enabled. I took a couple screen shots and cropped them to not make them so big to post, but I think the pictures are still too big, so I put them on imgur. Here's the first one. It's what the sprite looks like when completely unanimated and just assembled. http://i.imgur.com/w4xECRb.png Here's the other one. I just moved him a little to show what I am talking about. He won't really be moving in this way lol. http://i.imgur.com/TL7cN0v.png In the second one, the pixels get kind of screwed up, though the blurring is gone for some reason so that's at least one good thing lol. I admit, I am a noob at pixel art despite liking to do it so I know the sprite isn't the most well done haha. But yes, if there is anything to help alleviate this problem, that would be most helpful. I might just try making a cartoon style sprite instead, but I don't know how to get that crisp looking animation like in say... Super Adventure Pals. Anyway, I am rambling here. My apologies.
  13. Greetings. I usually use another program for pixel animation but wanted to try Spriter. I currently have the free version. Anyway I watched the video about the pixel mode, and after making my sprite's limbs in a folder, I tried to make a simple idle animation. But whenever I rotate say...an arm even in the slightest, it just looks blurred and bad. Am I using it wrong? Is my sprite too small? It is for a platformer game so I made it 80px tall.
